Minimally Invasive Treatment Options

VenaSeal™ closure
A medical adhesive is used to close the selected diseased vein through a small catheter. Suitability is determined after ultrasound and physician assessment.
Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT)
Laser energy is delivered through a catheter to close the selected vein. Local anesthesia and aftercare needs vary by treatment plan.
Adjunct vein treatment
Visible tributary or surface veins may require an additional procedure or staged cosmetic treatment, depending on the clinical goal.
No treatment is recommended from a website form alone. A final plan follows in-person assessment and duplex ultrasound.

What should I send before traveling to Taiwan?
Send your main symptoms, relevant medical history, current medications, allergies, prior vein procedures, recent ultrasound reports if available, and travel dates. Photos may help with coordination when requested, but they do not replace an examination or diagnostic ultrasound.
How is my treatment selected?
Dr. Ko uses your history, examination, and duplex ultrasound findings to explain suitable options, alternatives, expected recovery, and material risks. The final plan is made with you after the in-person evaluation.
How soon can I fly after treatment?
There is no single timing rule for every patient. Your planned flight, treatment, symptoms, medical history, and post-treatment findings must be considered individually. You will receive personalized advice after assessment; this is not a guarantee that flying is risk-free.
Will I receive English medical documents?
Patients may request an English medical certificate, an English treatment summary covering the diagnosis, treatment performed, and medical recommendations, and completion of insurer forms that must be completed by the treating medical facility. Please provide insurer-specific forms before the appointment whenever possible. Document completion does not guarantee reimbursement.
How much does treatment cost?
